Ethan Porter spent a week in Yosemite, and has recently shared with us his images – processed with MuseCam. Take a look below at a selection of his 5 of our favorite photos, and a small write-up on the steps Ethan took to edit his images.
Ethan: I used Musecam’s HSL slider here to desaturate the greens and also adjust the hue of the greens to make them more of a yellow which really helped get the tones I wanted.
Ethan: In this photo I adjusted the shadows and highlights using the tone curve while also selectively saturating the red line in the car trails.
Ethan: Many people don’t know, but along with the point curve, there is also green, blue and red tone curves. I used these tools to add magenta into the midtones and some warmth in the shadows. Finally I upped the saturation of aqua in the sky.
Ethan: the main goal in my editing of this photo was to really darken the overall tone of the image. For this I once again used the tone curve but at the same time I brought up the blacks which gives it a little fade for that filmy look.
Ethan: This was a simple edit. I brought down the luminance of the greens and added warmth to the highlights while adding a touch of contrast.
